(Ho Chi Minh City) – On the afternoon of May 26, 2026, Southern Institute of Social Resources Development Institute (Phuong Nam Institute) successfully held the closing ceremony for the expert course “Applications of AI in Data Analysis and Scientific Publication”. Beyond merely marking the end of a training program, the event signified a pivotal shift in the research mindset of the participating academic community.

From "Tool" to "Indispensable Assistant"

Throughout the six days of intensive training, 19 highly practical lectures fostered a rigorous academic atmosphere. Led by Prof. Tuan V. Nguyen - among the world’s top 0.05% of scholars in the specialties of osteoporosis, bone density, and bone mineral (according to ScholarGPS, 2025) - and featuring practical insights from Dr. Thach Tran, the attendees embarked on a journey to redefine their scientific approach.

The course effectively dismantled apprehensions regarding technology, empowering participants to proficiently integrate AI into designing logical research frameworks and handling complex statistical models such as linear and logistic regression. Instead of spending weeks on arduous tasks, researchers can now utilize AI as a "performance-optimizing catalyst" to accelerate data processing. This paradigm shift allows scholars to focus on their core value: interpreting results and developing innovative ideas.

A "Shield" for Academic Integrity

As AI continuously redefines the architecture of scientific research, the primary challenge lies not in which tools to use, but in upholding absolute transparency. The closing remarks highlighted a standout aspect of the course: its rigorous adherence to research ethics.

Participants not only mastered the IMRAD structure to produce internationally standardized manuscripts but also gained profound insights into the peer-review process. Stringent ethical principles were meticulously conveyed, equipping scientists with the self-defense mechanisms necessary to navigate and avoid the pitfalls of "predatory journals".

Aspirations for Integration and Transformation

Delivering her speech at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Vy, Director of Phuong Nam Institute, expressed deep pride in the dedication of all participants. She reaffirmed the Institute's strategic vision of leveraging science, technology, and digital transformation as driving forces for development, closely aligning with the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

Although the course has concluded, the intellectual values and the newly established academic networks will serve as a robust launchpad. The research community has every reason to anticipate groundbreaking publications in the future, significantly contributing to firmly establishing Vietnam's scientific stature on the global stage.
