It took place over two days at Gia Lai General Hospital. Its primary objective was to help participants understand the importance of evidence-based medicine in research. In addition, trainees learned how to search the medical literature in PubMed for clinical questions, critically appraise scientific evidence from clinical trials, interpret the results of clinical studies, and estimate sample sizes for clinical research.”, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Vy, Director of Phuong Nam Institute, stated.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Vy delivered the opening speech at the opening ceremony of the training course.

“Learning is essential, but even more important is the ability to apply what we have learned in practice - especially in patient care and treatment,” he emphasized. “To do this effectively, we must begin with reliable scientific evidence, which comes from research studies. However, not all studies carry the same level of reliability. Some are highly credible, while others have limitations. That’s why it is crucial to have the skills to evaluate and select appropriate, high-quality evidence to ensure accurate application in clinical care.”, Professor Nguyen Van Tuan shared.
