PHUONG NAM INSTITUTE ORGANIZED THE OPENING CEREMONY FOR THE EXPERT COURSE “DATA ANALYSIS USING R”

On May 10, 2025, Phuong Nam Institute of Social Resource Development (Phuong Nam Institute) held the opening ceremony for the expert course “Data Analysis Using R” at 45 Dinh Tien Hoang,  Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The course attracted more than 100 participants from 70 educational, healthcare, and business organizations across nearly 20 provinces and cities nationwide.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Vy, Director of Phuong Nam Institute, emphasized the importance of data and data analysis in the digital age, while also highlighting the course’s objective: The main objective of the course is to equip participants with important statistical methods for scientific data analysis. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to practice descriptive and inferential analysis techniques, with a special focus on applying AI and ChatGPT in data analysis.

Professor Nguyen Van Tuan shared his insights on the importance of the R programming language in both research and practical applications: Artificial intelligence will not replace humans; however, individuals who do not adopt AI may be replaced by those who do.

The 6-day expert course is primarily conducted by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan, one of the world’s top 1% of medical experts. The main objective of the course is to equip participants with important statistical methods for scientific data analysis. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to practice descriptive and inferential analysis techniques, with a special focus on applying AI and ChatGPT in data analysis.

In line with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, which affirms the crucial role of science, technology, and innovation in the country's development process, while also calling for the acceleration of digital transformation and the development of high-tech human resources, Phuong Nam Institute has organized the expert course "Data Analysis Using R" as a concrete activity that aligns with the strategic direction set forth by the Resolution. This course not only enhances the data analysis skills and digital tool usage of the research team but also contributes to the formation of a human resource capable of meeting new requirements in the modern academic and research environment.
